In 1982 I opened Hairlines on Henderson Street in Chapel Hill then went on to open a second salon in downtown Durham in 1988. Throughout the years I experienced extreme success and grew quickly. While pursuing the growth of both salons I attended numerous trade shows and seminars, became an educator and sales rep for a major hair care line, and educated a staff of over 45 hairdressers, manicurists, and massage therapists, many who have moved on to open their own salons in the area. I have been trained in over 25 lines of home hair care products, to include KMS, Paul Mitchell, Aveda, Sebstian, and Goldwell. After receiving numerous awards and certificates for advanced haircutting and coloring techniques I realized my true passion was the art of haircoloring and working with each client one on one to find the perfect haircolor that enhances the skin tone and highlights the face.

About 8 years ago I chose to close the salons to focus my attention on raising my two sons while operating a small salon in my home, always knowing I would open another salon once I had launched my sons into their life.
